Awesome, right?….I thought so

A Croatian summer…

There is something about summer photos. When you catch the light on all the happy faces and when you tame the shadows… All remind you of the warm sea air, the good smell of food, the tinkling of the silver on the dishes, the sunbaths and the long evenings you wish would never end… I took these photos during summer 2011. The place is called Jadrija and is the “official” beach of the town of Sibenik in Dalmatia, on the famous Croatian Coast. And the people you see are my good friends. We are celebrating the birthday of a promising new Croatian writer, Olja Runjic. Her book is not yet translated but I’m sure it will be soon. She also produced and directed a film about Jadrija Beach, about its history and people, its happy memories.
These are some of my happy memories at Jadrija…
